The Pupil Premium helps us to support the students who need it most so we can raise their standards of achievement.
What is the Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium was set up in April 2011 and is an additional funding system for schools. It is designed to support disadvantaged students and narrow the achievement gap between them and their peers.
How much additional funding is this school entitled to?
This is decided by the Local Authority from where our student has been placed.
How will this school use this funding?
This funding helps us to give extra educational support and raise the standard of achievement for eligible pupils.
We aim to make sure this extra funding reaches the students who need it most and makes a significant impact on their education and lives.
How is funding paid to this school?
Local Authorities pay Pupil Premium directly to our service.
Who decides on how the funding is used?
We have agreed a protocol for Pupil Premium between our Headteacher and relevant Local Authorities. This is to guide us on how we use this extra funding and to make sure it delivers value for money.
